2011 - The Year of the Clutz
Happy New Year!! 2010 is in the books and we are into the 4th day of 2011!! I wish I could say that 2011 has been a good year for me so far but that would be a lie. Don't worry...no one died...my beautiful little daughter is still beautiful...my talented husband is still the bomb and my furry dogs are still keeping me awake with their snoring (Odie) and snuggling (Frank) next to me to keep me awake & warm at night.
2011 has just been extra clumsy for me. I have not gone a day without doing something clumsy.
Other clumsy moments of my life would include...
So I think for 2011, I need to have a resolution of being more careful. Because with the rate I'm going now, I better just start saving up now for that replacement tooth implant.
PS: While typing this blog, I couldn't figure out if you spelled Clutz with a C or with a K. And while looking up the correct spelling on the Internet, I found this website. It's a website where you can connect with other Clutz's out in the world and hear their clumsy stories. SIGN ME UP!! As for the spelling, the jury is still out. I have seen it spelled both ways.
2011 has just been extra clumsy for me. I have not gone a day without doing something clumsy.
- I managed to drop the edge of a pizza pan on my pinky toe (don't worry, I do think I'm on the mend)
- I dropped my Pei Wei Chicken Fried Rice leftovers all over the kitchen floor (thankfully the dogs were there to clean it up)
- I scratched my daughter in the chin while apply lotion to her body
- I snapped myself in the eye while trying to air out my smoked filled kitchen (trust me, I promise I didn't burn dinner)
Other clumsy moments of my life would include...
- Smacking my head on the tampon machine while putting on pantyhose in the locker room after gym class.
- Catching a fast moving racquetball with my eye while not wearing goggles which resulted in a trip to the ER, a tetanus shot and being treated for an inflammation of the Iris.
- Two car accidents within 13 months of each other which involved cars stalled & already wrecked on icy roads. I refuse to drive should we get any freezing rain or snow this year.
So I think for 2011, I need to have a resolution of being more careful. Because with the rate I'm going now, I better just start saving up now for that replacement tooth implant.

Video of the Week
I decided to hire myself a personal assistant. It's hard working 40 hrs a week, planning & cooking meals, paying bills, cleaning up the house and taking care of a 13 month old. And my assistant, she is pretty cheap. I pay her with cookies & kisses. Plus, check out her awesome computer skills.

It's been 2 years since I have had a glass of bubbly.
I apologize in advance. I wanted something heartfelt as my first post of 2011 but I have too many glasses of champagne to be creative. So...
Happy New Year from my family to yours. I hope that 2011 is as great of a year as 2010 has been to me.

Video of the Week
A view into our home Christmas morning. Technically this was Abbie's 2nd Christmas but the first one that she enjoyed now that she is a bit older.

Dress Rehearsal...FAIL!!
I put on Abbie's Christmas dress last night. I thought she looked absolutely adorable in it but she seemed to think differently. Our plans are to doll her up on Friday night, take her to sit on Santa's lap and then head to Christmas Eve mass. I'm hoping that she doesn't give me the same attitude when we put the dress on for the real thing.
I so should have made this our Christmas card this year.
