Two and a Half Minutes with Abbie (and Frank too)

I apologize for this belated Two and a Half Minutes with Abbie.  I usually like to tape these on her "monthly birthday" but didn't get around to it until tonight.  I hope you can forgive me.  :)

In this third episode of Two and a Half Minutes with Abbie we watch her as she colors on the floor. We just bought her a box of crayons and a tablet of paper last night at the store. She is still a little new at the whole coloring thing and had more fun scribbling over my pictures.  Hopefully one day she becomes an aspiring artist who's work sells for millions of dollars.  And she can thank her mother for buying her first set of Crayola crayons and giant floor pad.
The music in the background is Fisher Price, Laugh & Learn, Sing-A-Long Favorites. As you watch the video, you will see Abbie get up and dance.

Video of the Week

This week, Frank takes the spotlight. He has been such an entertaining dog since we got him over 5 years ago. Charlie gave both dogs a rawhide on Friday night. Odie is one who will lay down and chew on it all night. Frank is very different. He likes to savor it so he will find the best hiding place in the house and and bury his bone there to enjoy later. Here he found a spot in a basket of Abbie's clothes that she had outgrown. Watch how aggressive he can be in moving the clothes to cover the bone.

My dogs are in the top 10!!

I knew that my dogs were the bomb but after reading this article, I am proud to call them my own.  They may eat my bathroom trash and smell up my furniture, but come morning when I have one dog snuggling on my left another snuggling on my right, I am thankful that I'm their momma!!

Coming in at #8...FRANK!!

The breed lovingly known as the “wiener dog” has a strong personality with a dose of charm and a playful sense of humor. They can adapt to city or country life and can get all the exercise they need exploring a small yard in the suburbs or playing with other dogs in the dog park.

Dachshunds, meaning “badger dogs” in German, were first bred in the early 1600s in Germany with the goal of creating a fearless, elongated dog that could dig the earth from a burrow and eliminate the badgers for the farmers. (Courtesy of The American Kennel Club)

And at #4...ODIE!!

The beagle is the only breed to rank in the Top 10 every decade since the founding of the AKC. Originally developed to hunt rabbits, they naturally enjoy the company of other dogs and humans. Curious and comedic, they often follow their noses – which can lead to some mischief.

Beagles like to vocalize. In fact, the origin of the name "beagle" may have been derived from the French term "be’geule," referring to the baying voice of the hounds when in pursuit of game. The most famous beagle of all, Snoopy, was named the American Kennel Club’s “most popular dog in pop culture” in 2009. (Courtesy of The American Kennel Club)

So which breed was #1?  I don't care...it wasn't my dog!  LOL  If you want to see the entire top 10, you are just going to have to go read the article for yourself.  Perhaps it was your dog!!

The one time my husband decides to take my picture.

My wonderful husband who never takes pictures decided to take this shot this morning while I was sleeping.

  • Yes, that is me sleeping next to my Dachshund, Frank.
  • Yes, we do allow our pets to sleep with us.  Every night.  They are great at cuddling and keeping the bed warm.
  • Yes, that is a Tigger pillowcase.  Don't be hating.  I have been a fan of Winnie the Pooh for many, many years.
  • Yes, that is a major breakout near my mouth.  You would think a 31 year old would be done with acne by now.
  • Yes, Frank does take over my husband's spot when he gets up.  He even sleeps with his head on the pillow and his body covered with the blanket.  See how I could have easily mistaken him for my husband?

Video of the Week

They have been best buds since she was a few days old when brought her home from the hospital.  He has been her protector and as you can see, loves to give her rotten kisses!!

Video of the Week

Frank gets the pleasure of starring in this video of the week. He is always destroying his toys so we let him play with them for a while and then hide them in the closet. Today we got his "bitch" down from the closet. We use the word "bitch" lovingly in our household. It's a love/hate relationship between Frank & his "bitch". One minute he's tearing her apart and the next we see him humping on her. In this video he is sitting down for dinner with her.
