Video of the Week

I just spent probably 2 hrs producing this video. Some day I will become an expert on Windows Movie Maker and will be flipping these out like hotcakes.

I present to you...

Video of the Week

Two posts in one day?!? What is wrong with me?? I realized that I forgot to post a video for last week so I figured better late then never.

For this (errr, last) week's video, I decided to do something a little different. I went to the vault and pulled out the very first video I ever shot of Abbie while in the hospital. You see, tonight I was rocking my little girl and suddenly realized that she isn't as little as she used to be. As a matter of fact, she is 10 lbs, 3 oz heavier than she was at birth. I even got a little sad tonight as I rocked my not so little girl to sleep. I miss the baby in this video. Her tiny little arms and legs. Her delicate little cry. Time with her goes so fast. I just hopes that she wants me to rock her until she's 20.

6 Month Check Up

This morning I took Abbie into the doctor for her 6 month check up. Most parents dread taking their child into the doctor because that means shots and a cranky baby. Well Abbie & I don't really get stressed out over these visits. First of all, I have the happiest baby all around. Even when we go to the doctor.

Second of all, Abbie's Pediatrician is the nicest man you will ever meet. And he isn't bad on the eyes either.

Abbie did cry a couple of times while at the doctor. Obviously she cried when they stuck her legs three times. Who wouldn't. But I love on her after her shots, give her some Tylenol and she is usually all smiles again by the time we leave the doctor's office. She also cried when she was getting her weight checked. She must get that from her momma b/c I shed a tear too when I have to step on the scale.

Here are her stats as of 6 months.

  • Weight: 16 lbs, 10 oz (60%)
  • Length: 27 3/4 in (above 97%-off the charts) Is that a big surprise with two tall parents?
  • Head Circumference: 44 1/4 cm (90%)

So I have a long and lean little girl and by the measurements of her head, she seems to be a smart one too. Hopefully she is one who excels academically & athletically in the future. Is it too soon to take her to the Volleyball courts and get working on her overhand serve?

Abigail Paige Vogt - 6 Months Old

Hello Blog World!! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything. I haven't had to play hostess for an entire week so I'm relaxing, playing with my daughter and catching up on my DVR'd shows.

Today we took Abbie in to get her 6 month pictures taken. I still can't believe that my baby is going to be 1/2 year tomorrow!! She is becoming such a little lady. I look at her photos that I had professionally taken when she was 6 weeks old and I just want to cry. I miss that little baby girl in those photos. She has changed so much since then!! She's talking, grabbing everything in sight, sitting up on her own, cracking you a smile whenever you ask for one. But I do have to admit that I'm loving this stage in her life. She is so interactive and playful. It just warms my heart when I watch her discover new things. Like how she can turn on her mobile by herself. And she loves her four legged brothers. She smiles and reaches out to pet them. She loves to carry on conversations with herself where she will just babble and let out a scream here and there. Charlie & I just have to sit there & laugh. She is truly a blessing in our life and we couldn't imagine life without her.

Video of the Week

Aunt Shell came to visit this weekend and brought all sort of great garage sale finds that Aunt Medir found. This is one of them, Johnny Jump Up. Abbie still isn't too sure about it but I'm sure it will be no time before she is jumping away!!

Mother's Day

Celebrated my first Mother's Day with this little girl. Life couldn't be better. Happiness to me is having her in my life.
